OBITUARIES

 

Mrs. Nancy Smith widow of Brice Smith died at the home of J.T. Waugh at Waugh Bottom on Sunday, april 7, 1907 after a prlonged illness woth stomach and liver trouble. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Baptist Church and a kind, motherly lady who was adored by her children and respected by all her neighbors. She was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Riley and Wilson Dickey and has numerous relatives in the county. Her husband preceded her about four years ago, and leaves the following children to mourn their grat loss. G.R. of Bladen, Dr. H.M. Smith of Clarington, A.J. of Guyan (twsp) Mrs. J.M. Notter of Huntinton. these brothers matthew Riley, clipper Mill, Jack of IndianaGeorge and John of Huntington. These sisters, Mrs. Jack Smith, Harrison twsp., Mrs. Val Clark of Clay twsp, Mrs. Rachel Lewis, wife of Jessie Lewis of Clay twsp. Rev.Caldwell of Huntinton held services Tuesday at M.E. Church at WEaugh bottom, burial by Geo Wetherholt.
